Anita D’Amico, PhD is a disruptive business executive who brings clarity, strategy and team leadership to new endeavors.  She has successfully crossed the chasm from innovative idea to commercial success. Dr. D'Amico is also an internationally cited human factors psychologist and application security (AppSec) expert. In short, she delivers the mentality and energy of a founder, the detailed focus of a researcher, the human insight of a psychologist, and the communication skills of a seasoned executive.

 

As founder and CEO of Code Dx, Inc. she grew the business from a six-month research project into a venture-funded commercial supplier of B2B application security software; then led her company to a multi-million dollar exit with an acquisition by Synopsys. Along that journey she elicited $5M in non-dilutive government funding of the Code Dx technology, won $2M in Series Seed funding in a “Shark Tank”-like competition, and received 4 Series A offers.

 

Anita joined Synopsys, a $5B publicly traded company, in 2021 when they acquired her startup, Code Dx, Inc.  As a VP in the Synopsys Software Integrity Group, Anita managed the Products team responsible for the product management, engineering and research behind a $400M/year AppSec product portfolio. She also led their software supply chain security and SBOM business strategy, and product strategy for the secure adoption of Artificial Intelligence in the software development lifecycle.

 

Anita retired from Synopsys in December 2023.
